Puntledge – Black Creek (Electoral Area C) includes Merville, Black Creek, Dove Creek, Saratoga Beach, Arden (west of Cumberland Road), Powerhouse, Lake Trail, Marsden and Plateau Road. The northern boundary of Electoral Area C is the Oyster River, which doubles as the northern boundary of the Comox Valley Regional District.
From walking barefoot on the sandy shores of Saratoga beach, to lazy summer afternoons at the Oyster River potholes, to carving through world-class powder on the slopes of Mount Washington, this area showcases some of the most celebrated natural gems of the Comox Valley.
Mount Washington Alpine Resort hosts numerous nordic and alpine ski races, mountain biking events and trail running races, as well as summertime events like the Alpine Wine and Food Festival. Closer to town, the Comox Valley Exhibition Grounds is the setting for the annual Comox Valley Exhibition and the wildly popular Vancouver Island Music Fest each year.
