Nomination Documents
In accordance with the Comox Valley Regional District Local Election Bylaw No. 11, 2008, public access to nomination documents will be provided by posting the documents to this webpage as soon as practicable after the time of delivery to the Chief Election Officer until at least 30 days after the declaration of the election results.
Latest Update - Pre-Candidate Information Session
A pre-candidate information session will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at 6:00pm for individuals considering running for elected office. The session will be jointly hosted by the CVRD, the City of Courtenay and the Village of Cumberland and feature a presentation by Allison Habkirk and Christina Benty, who are both former elected officials and experienced local government consultants.
Individuals may attend the information session in-person in the CVRD Civic Room, located at 770 Harmston Avenue, Courtenay or online via Zoom video webinar.
Those wishing to participate in the information session via Zoom video webinar may do so using a smartphone, tablet, or computer with speakers and a microphone. You must register for the session in advance. Please note that as a Zoom video webinar participant, you will only be able to speak. You will not be able to share images or videos.
You will need to provide your first name, last name and email address. You do not need to have a Zoom account to participate in the meeting. After your registration is complete, you’ll receive an email with a link to join the meeting via Zoom Video Webinar.
