All solid waste originating within the boundaries of the Comox Valley and Strathcona Regional Districts can be brought to the Comox Valley Waste Management Centre, the Campbell River Waste Management Centre, or any CSWM transfer station.

Regional Organics Facility

Construction began in November 2021 on a regional organics composting facility at the Campbell River Waste Management Centre – Block J (6300 Argonaut Road), with a transfer station to be located at the Comox Valley Waste Management Centre. The composting facility enables curbside organics collection for over 30,000 single-family dwellings in Campbell River, Comox, Cumberland, and Courtenay. The organic material from these households is now repurposed into finished compost for agricultural and landscaping use.
