Strategic planning at the CVRD helps to identify the Board of Directors’ goals and align the CVRD’s service delivery with those goals. The CVRD’s ten elected officials identified eight core services that cover planning for sustainable growth in targeted development areas, improving recreation services, growing our agricultural opportunities and protecting the environment, which includes preparing for climate change and emergency preparedness.

Strategic Drivers
The Board establishes strategic drivers to guide service delivery. Those drivers are applied to the CVRD’s core services. During the financial planning process, the Board approves work plans ensuring alignment to the strategic drivers.
