The Comox Valley Regional District began developing and using geographical information systems (GIS) in 1999 and iMap was the next logical step to give the public access to the maps and information. In 2004, the first iMap application was launched and has evolved over the years.
Now we’ve updated our iMap to support all browsers, and is now mobile friendly. You can access property related information on your phone, tablet, laptop or desktop.
iMap has many new features including a detailed property report. Simply click on a property to bring up the link to the property report. This new feature provides a “one-stop shop” for residents and staff as it is a printable summary report about the property, such as:
- Property details (address, PID, roll number, legal description, zoning, OCP and RGS designations)
- DPA’s and quick links to regional strategies, bylaws and plans
- Service areas
- Additional information (watershed, floodplain, aquifers)
- Quick links to house number, cadastral and habitat atlas pdf maps
When you launch iMap you will be required to read the disclaimer and then select OK. For help using iMap please select the “help” icon (globe in top right hand corner) once iMap has loaded. iMap is subject to many data updating processes and may be unavailable for short periods of time throughout the month.
iMap 2.2 version to be used with Internet Explorer or Safari only.
