Flood Warning – Dove Creek and low-lying areas

A flood warning is in effect for Dove Creek and nearby areas due to very heavy, localized rainfall overnight.
Water levels in Dove Creek have risen rapidly and are still increasing. At the Dove Creek near the mouth monitoring station, flows are currently measured at 161 m³/s, which is higher than what is expected during a 100-year flood event.

• Localized flooding is possible in low-lying areas near Dove Creek.
• High river flows are expected across the coastal region over the next few days due to heavy rain and snowmelt.
• Water levels may rise and fall.
• Lake-fed rivers may peak later, into Friday or Saturday.
