Find your service area and responding fire department
Fire protection in the Comox Valley is provided by several local fire departments. Some communities receive service directly from their local fire department. Others receive service through an agreement with a neighbouring municipality.
Not all rural areas have fire protection service. Check the map to confirm service in your area.
Burning regulations
Burning rules vary by location. In areas covered by a local fire regulation bylaw, the Fire Chief may restrict burning based on local fire conditions and available firefighting resources. In areas without a local fire regulation bylaw, provincial burning regulations apply. These restrictions are managed by the Province of British Columbia.
