The Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) has selected the inaugural Board of Directors for the newly formed Comox Valley Housing Authority (CVHA), marking an important milestone in the region’s work to support the creation of more non-market rental housing.
The CVHA Board includes four CVRD Directors and four Independent Directors.

• Jerad Langille, Owner, Langille and Company
• Shane Colclough, Jordan's Principal Service Coordinator, Wachiay Friendship Centre
The CVHA Board will provide strategic oversight, governance and leadership while working collaboratively with non-profit housing providers, local and senior levels of governments, First Nations, and private developers, to help increase the supply of affordable rental housing for residents of the Comox Valley.
“Each of these directors brings valuable expertise and a strong commitment to public service,” says CVRD Chair Will Cole-Hamilton. “As the Comox Valley Housing Authority starts its work, their leadership and guidance will be instrumental in helping to respond to the urgent and growing need for affordable, non-market homes across our communities.”
A call for applicants to apply for independent director positions was issued in May 2026, with the CVRD seeking people in the community with a mix of skills, experience, and perspectives required to ensure effective governance, fiduciary oversight, and strategic leadership.
The CVHA will begin their orientation process in the fall, with initial focus on governance, roles and responsibilities and early priorities to support the development of new housing projects.
