Campfire Ban Lifted for the Comox Valley

The Comox Valley fire departments have lifted the campfire fire ban that has been in place since May long weekend at noon on Friday, July 3. Category 2 and 3 fires are still prohibited within the Comox Valley. Always check with your local fire departments regarding fire restrictions in place.

“The rainy and cooler weather predicted has allowed us to safely lift the campfire fire ban,” explains Bruce Green, CVRD Regional Rural Fire Chief. “Weather conditions can change quickly, and a campfire ban may be put back in place to help protect our community. Please monitor your local fire department’s website for updates.”
