CVRD Invites Residents to Learn More About Regional Services and Financial Planning

Courtenay, B.C. – The Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) is inviting electoral area residents to learn more about CVRD services, and the budget and planning processes that support them.

Through early June, the CVRD financial planning team will be hosting pop-up booths throughout the region where staff will be available with interactive displays, informative materials and takeaways to help increase understanding about your property taxes. Residents are encouraged to stop by, ask questions, and learn more about how regional services are funded and how they impact the
community.

“There is a lot that happens behind-the-scenes when it comes to financial planning and how it connects to their property tax bill,” said Kelly Broughton, Manager of Financial Planning. “These booths are the perfect opportunity for residents to drop by, ask questions, and better understand the roles and responsibilities of municipal, regional, provincial and federal governments.”

Watch for the CVRD team at markets and community spaces across the Comox Valley.

 Booths can be found at:

  • Comox Valley Farmers’ Market | Saturday June 6, 9 am – 1 pm
  • Courtenay Country Market | Wednesday, June 10, 3 - 5 pm
  • Royston Marine Drive (Boat Launch) | Saturday, June 13, 9 - 11 am

Residents are encouraged to stop by to learn more about their tax bill and ask questions about
regional services and financial planning.
