Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) Recreation Services is reminding residents about registration for the summer portion of the Comox Valley Recreation Guide, which is currently available to view online as part of the spring/summer guide.
The summer portion of the guide includes programs and classes from July 1 until August 31 and features activities from CVRD Recreation Services, Courtenay Recreation, Comox Recreation, Cumberland Recreation, and 19 Wing Comox. Registration for the summer programming begins on Monday, April 27 at 8 am.
Summer programming will look different this year, as the Comox Valley Aquatic Centre will be closed for maintenance between June 27 to September 7.
“We look forward to offering a variety of programs and classes for the summer months,” explains Jennifer Zbinden, Senior Manager of Recreation Services. “While we understand the challenge in closing facilities, the benefit is that aging mechanical systems at the Aquatic Centre will be replaced with efficient heat pumps that will heat, cool, and dehumidify the facility, which will improve the overall user experience.”
Beginning Monday, April 27 at 8:00 am, residents can register for CVRD spring specific programs and activities in three different ways:
- Online: www.comoxvalleyrd.ca/registration
- Phone: 250-334-9622 ext. 0
- In person: at the Aquatic Centre from 8 am until 8:30 pm
