Construction is now underway on the Hudson Trunk regional sewer line, which will increase capacity in the Comox Valley sewer system. Work is expected to continue into the spring of 2018. Updates on project progress will be posted here.
Current Notices/Updates for April 2018
- One lane of traffic will be closed periodically through the month of April.
- Access for local residents and businesses will be maintained but traffic delays should be expected.
- Work to begin on Idiens Way the week of April 23, near Brooklyn Creek, working east toward Anderton Road.
The Hudson Trunk regional sewer line will increase capacity in the Comox Valley sewer service by reducing pressure on the Courtenay Pump Station. This new line will connect northeast Courtenay directly to the sewage treatment plant (the Comox Valley Water Pollution Control Centre) located on Brent Road.
