The Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) is encouraging eligible residents in Electoral Areas A, B, and C to vote in the upcoming local government election on Saturday, October 17, 2026.
Residents in Electoral Areas B and C will elect one electoral area director for each area. In Electoral Area A, Director Daniel Arbour has been acclaimed, so no election will be held. All school trustee candidates in Electoral Areas A, B, and C have also been acclaimed.
Eligible voters in Electoral Area A may still cast ballots on two assent voting questions affecting their area. Elections will also be held for the Hornby and Denman Islands Local Trust Areas, with two trustees to be elected per area.
“Your opinions, your perspective, your concerns, and your values matter,” says CVRD Chief Election Officer Jake Martens. “Make your voice heard by ensuring you get out and vote this October.”
