The Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) is in the final stage (Phase Three) of the Regional Parks and Trails Strategic Plan process. This Plan will guide how the CVRD plans for, manages, and invests in developing the NEW Regional Parks and Trails system over the next 20+ years.
The CVRD received valuable input from K’ómoks First Nation, interest groups, partners, and the broader community through Phase One and Phase Two that helped shape the directions of the Strategic Plan.
Get involved in the Plan review:
- From September 17 through October 15, the Regional Parks and Trails Strategic Plan is being shared broadly with all interested participants to review and identify comments for consideration in finalizing the Strategic Plan later this fall.
- Community members are encouraged to submit comments via the online form available until October 15, 2024.
“It has been really exciting working through the development of this service with all of those involved over the last year. We look forward to finalizing the plan this fall and implementing this strategic plan to benefit conservation and recreation opportunities in our region for years to come,” explains Vickey Brown, Chair of the Regional Parks and Trails Committee.

The Comox Valley Regional District is a partnership of three electoral areas and three municipalities operating on the unceded traditional territory of the K’ómoks First Nation, the traditional keepers of the land. The members of the regional district work collaboratively on providing sustainable services for the benefit of the diverse urban and rural areas of the Comox Valley.
