Comox Valley Emergency Operations Centre Flooding Update January 31st

The Comox Valley Regional Emergency Operations Centre is advising that all current evacuation orders and alerts 
remain in place. Assessments are currently in progress and we anticipate the evacuation orders and alerts to be lifted shortly. Flood advisories from the BC River Forecast Centre for local rivers have all been lifted.

Residents are encouraged to follow directions of emergency service personnel and obey all road and trail closures. Please stay away from water bodies, waterways and low-lying areas. Tune in to your local news stations and monitor weather alerts and forecasts for information and updates. If you are in immediate danger, call 911.

Updated information will be posted on www.comoxvalleyrd.ca/eoc and on the Comox Valley Regional District social media channels (Facebook, Instagram and Bluesky).

Comox Valley Emergency Management (CVEM) is a regional service administered by the Comox Valley Regional District in partnership with the City of Courtenay, Village of Cumberland, Town of Comox and K’ómoks First Nation to provide emergency management services and support to the region.
