The Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) is pleased to announce that a draft local area plan (LAP) for Saratoga Beach will be ready for public review on June 1, 2026. Residents and interested parties are invited to view the draft plan and provide feedback regarding their priorities for the draft policies either online at engagecomoxvalley.ca/SaratogaLAP, or at an open house on June 1, at the Oyster River Fire Hall from 4:30 to 6:30 pm.
“This is a crucial opportunity for residents and interested parties to confirm the community’s priorities before the plan is finalized and to help guide its implementation in the future,” says Alana Mullaly, General Manager of Planning and Development Services. “We encourage all Saratoga Beach residents and interested parties to join us on June 1 to share their thoughts.”

About the Saratoga Beach LAP
The LAP outlines objectives and policies that will shape how the Saratoga Beach community evolves over the next 5–10 years. The development of the Saratoga Beach LAP has been guided by extensive public input through surveys, open houses, and focus groups, resulting in a draft plan that reflects many local values and priorities, including environmental protection, responsible growth, sustainable infrastructure, and a strong sense of community.
Next Steps
After the open house and public feedback period, the project will move to Phase 4: final revisions and plan adoption by the CVRD Board in summer 2026.
