Chair Message - Our Thoughts Are With Tumbler Ridge

Our thoughts are with the families and residents of Tumbler Ridge as they respond to the mass shooting of February 10. In small communities especially, the impact of a heartbreaking tragedy like this one is felt deeply by everyone. During this difficult time, it is important that we come together with care, kindness, and compassion. Please hold your loved ones close and continue to support and respect one another.

Appreciation and gratitude for the emergency personnel and first responders that put their lives at risk every single day. Thank you for dedicating your lives to protecting our community.   

Remember there are supports available to all BC residents. Spread the word and continue to help one another navigate this difficult time.

    The flags at the CVRD firehalls have been lowered to half-mast to mourn the innocent lives lost and demonstrate support to the Tumbler Ridge community.
