Changes are coming to the Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) Planning and Development Services team. Scott Smith, currently the General Manager of Planning and Development Services, recently accepted a new senior executive opportunity with the City of Port Alberni. Scott’s last day will be February 5, 2021.
“Scott has been an integral member of the CVRD’s senior leadership team since 2018,” explains Russell Dyson, CVRD Chief Administrative Officer. “His expertise, dedication and support within the community will be missed as he moves onto this new role.”
To ensure continued, smooth service delivery to the community, Alana Mullaly, Senior Manager of Sustainability and RGS, will be promoted to Acting General Manager of Planning and Development Services. Many residents will know Alana for her involvement with planning and development applications, the housing needs assessment, the Regional Growth Strategy and many climate action response initiatives within the community.
The Comox Valley Regional District is a federation of three electoral areas and three municipalities providing sustainable services for residents and visitors to the area. The members of the regional district work collaboratively on services for the benefit of the diverse urban and rural areas of the Comox Valley.
