With this bylaw, the Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) Board delegates to CVRD officers the power to issue development permits for the following:
- Aquatic and Riparian Habitat
- Eagle Nest
- Blue Heron
- Soft Shoreline Protection Devices
- Steep Slopes
Other development permits are issued by the CVRD Board include:
- Hard Shoreline Protection Devices
- Commercial and Industrial Form and Character
- Farm Land Protection
- Union Bay Tourism Highway
- Kensington Comprehensive Development
- Mount Washington Mixed Use Development
