Development Approval Information

The purpose of requiring development approval information is to ensure that applicable studies and relevant information are provided to Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) to evaluate the impact of a proposed development within electoral areas. Development approval information may be required for the following planning applications:

  1. Zoning Bylaw amendment (i.e. rezoning)
  2. Development Permit
  3. Temporary Use Permit 

The types of studies and information that may be required are related to:

  • Archaeology and Heritage report;
  • Community Services report;
  • Economic and Socioeconomic Impact report;
  • Environmental Assessment Report;
  • Geotechnical and Hazardous Conditions report;
  • Noise and Visual Impacts report;
  • Traffic and transportation report; and
  • Water Supply and Sewage Infrastructure Impact report.
