The purpose of requiring development approval information is to ensure that applicable studies and relevant information are provided to Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) to evaluate the impact of a proposed development within electoral areas. Development approval information may be required for the following planning applications:
- Zoning Bylaw amendment (i.e. rezoning)
- Development Permit
- Temporary Use Permit
The types of studies and information that may be required are related to:
- Archaeology and Heritage report;
- Community Services report;
- Economic and Socioeconomic Impact report;
- Environmental Assessment Report;
- Geotechnical and Hazardous Conditions report;
- Noise and Visual Impacts report;
- Traffic and transportation report; and
- Water Supply and Sewage Infrastructure Impact report.
