Comox No. 2 Pump Station

About the Comox No. 2 Pump Station Project

The Comox Valley Sewer Service is facing the challenge of limited pump station capacity and the need to reroute an aging forcemain that is currently at-risk due to its location on the foreshore of Balmoral Beach (Willemar Bluffs).  In 2016 and 2017, CVRD staff investigated the option of constructing a new pump station in the Croteau Beach neighbourhood. A number of challenges were identified with this proposed solution and the project was put on hold in October 2017. Planning for a new forcemain route and increased pump station capacity is now a part of the Comox Valley Sewer Service Liquid Waste Management Plan (LWMP).
