CONSULTATION PROCESS
The CVRD is committed to a comprehensive consultation program that is both transparent and effective for all concerned. Multiple opportunities will be provided through various means, to reach out to as many people, organizations and agencies as possible. Information will be made available in a manner that allows for full and meaningful process to be available to all those interested. The formal public consultation process is outlined in the public consultation plan to go before the CVRD board at its January meeting.
A wide range of communication tools will be employed throughout the process, providing a variety of opportunities and methods for public input. These various tools are outlined and described in the public consultation plan.
Comox Valley RGS Draft Approach to Growth
The week of November 23, the RGS team went out to the public with a draft approach to growth. The purpose of these public open houses was to get feedback from the public on the Approach to Growth map and the policy goals and directions for the RGS policy document. We met with over 200 people over the course of four open houses held in Cumberland, Merville, Courtenay and Comox.
