The regional district operates five volunteer fire departments and has working agreements with member municipalities and improvement districts within the regional district to provide fire protection.

What is a fire protection area?
A fire protection area is a defined area that is provided fire protection through a local government authority (ie: regional districts or improvement districts).

Does everyone in the regional district have fire protection?
Some areas in the regional district do not have fire protection. If you are not sure if you are in a designated fire protection area, call the protective services department at the regional district office for information or look on iMap.
