Design Features

  • Site slope optimization by adding a Grant Avenue half level  
  • Open workstations located on the perimeter to allow daylight and views to internal offices
  • Extensive use of glass to maximize daylight
  • use of shading devices to control heat gain
  • Separation between CVRD office component and the post disaster component
  • Use of durable and cost effective exterior materials
  • Use of wood on protected exterior surfaces as well as interior spaces and structural elements
  • Efficient layout with separate entrances to CVRD, Boardroom and SD71
