Swim Fit

Our swim fit program is a drop in program that focuses on developing a swimmer's overall skills. Our qualified coaches are on the pool deck to prepare the group workout and offer individual stroke correction and technique. Participants have the choice of three levels of difficulty for their workout; beginner, intermediate and advance. Many individuals take this program to complement and improve their existing skills and to train for activities such as triathlons. This program focuses technique, endurance, speed and conditioning. Drop-in and give it a try, our aim is to assist you in improving your skills and reaching your goals in a fun and encouraging atmosphere. This is a great group to work on your fitness and endurance level.

Supervised Weight Room

Whether you are new to fitness, want to improve your fitness level, or are recovering from an injury, the wellness centre is the place to go! We have an open welcoming facility, with an amazing view of the mountains, featuring a wide selection of cardio, strength training & free-weight equipment. We also have various sizes of stability balls, two bosu balls, medicine balls, skipping ropes and mats.

If you are between the ages of 12 and 15, please enjoy our facilities on your own during our supervised weight room times or during regular hours with your parent(s).

Please note that proper gym attire must be worn while using the wellness centre.

Drop in Aquasise classes:


Water-based exercise classes give your body a total workout with little impact and joint stress. Workout intensity is moderate to vigorous and appropriate for all levels. Our programs use the water as the primary training tool with the option of using resistance equipment for building muscular strength and endurance. After participating in one of our classes, you will leave feeling relaxed and refreshed.   If you are unsure of which class is best suited to your personal needs, contact the leader for the arena & fitness programs.

Deep Water Aquasise

Deep water aquasise utilizes exercises to raise cardio endurance levels while improving strength, flexibility and muscle tone with zero impact! If you are looking for a high intensity workout without impact to your knees and hips, deep water is the place for you. We strongly recommend participants use a flotation belt during the class as it assists with proper posture; however, it is up to individual comfort level.


Shallow Water Aquasise

Shallow water aquasise classes allow participants to increase their cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, muscle tone and strength all while maintaining contact with the pool floor. There is some impact to the joints during a shallow water class, be sure to talk to your instructor and ask how to reduce the impact as much a possible!

Warm Water Aquasise

This is a fun class designed for older adults or anyone wanting to take things a little easier. This is a low impact class combining cardiovascular endurance with basic movements and stretches to improve mobility, flexibility, and range of motion in a relaxed, social and welcoming environment. This is also a fantastic class for anyone pre/post natal or brand new to exercise. This class is held in the leisure pool at the aquatic centre only. 

Seniors Aquasise

This is a fun class designed for specifically for our 50+ population. This is a low impact class combining cardiovascular endurance with basic movements and stretches to improve mobility, flexibility, and range of motion in a relaxed, social and welcoming environment. This class is held at the sports centre only.
